Traffic Lights Timer at Airport Chowk not working from last 6 Months
I want to draw your kind attention to the non-working of the traffic lights timer installed at Airport Chowk, Chandigarh from last 6 months and due to which chances of accidents remains there and due to heavy traffic or rush over there is always problem for pedestrian passers. And due to non- working of traffic lights timer many vehicles passing over there still thought that green light is there and in this misconception they crossed the lights and automatically lights signals were changed even when they passed half of the way of their sides due to which they are facing problems of unnecessary challans done by traffic police posted over there and this is just because of non- working of traffic lights timer. And one of the crucial fact that many vehicles stop waiting for signals forced to start their vehicles due to non- working of traffic lights timer while thinking that traffic signal may change any time because there is no timer at the spot to wait for signal due to which unnecessary pertrol and diesel wasted over there.
So while keeping in view of the urgency of working traffic lights timer at Airport Chowk, Chandigarh please resolve this problem on priority to avoid heavy traffic rush and any mishappening over there in future for the safeguard of general public and it will also facililate the process of traffic police while performing their duties.
